POLICE are hunting a man from the Maltby area who is wanted in connection with an assault and threats.

Neil Kirton (55) is being sought over the offences alleged to have taken place on July 6, a police spokesperson said.

Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries since then to trace Kirton and now they are asking for the public's help.

Police want to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to Kirton recently or knows where he might be staying.

He is described as being of a medium build with grey cropped hair.

Kirton has tattoos on his arms and a tattoo of a cross and flowers with the text 'Jackie and kids' on his left hand, the spokesperson said.
