Police hunt for man after knifepoint robbery in Thurcroft

POLICE are hunting for a man who threatened staff at knifepoint during a robbery at a village Post Office yesterday (Sunday).

The incident occurred at the Post Office in Thurcroft, on Green Arbour Road, at around 7.15am, said a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman.

After threatening staff with the knife he fled with a "quantity of cash," added the spokeswoman.

He is described as being white, of medium build, wearing a pale-coloured coat with a hood and carrying a backpack.
