Police car involved in collision near Rotherham's Main Street station

A POLICE car was involved in a collision this morning (Thursday) near to Main Street police station, causing traffic congestion in the surrounding area. 

The collision happened just after 6.40am between a police car and another vehicle, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.

"Nobody was injured in the incident but police remain on scene," added the spokeswoman. 

As a result of the collision, heavy traffic is forming around Main Street, Centenary Way and Masbrough Street towards Coronation Bridge.
