Police called to Rawmarsh after concerned residents see man carrying an axe
A MAN is being hunted by police after he was seen carrying an axe around the area of Rawmarsh, leaving residents concerned.
Officers were called to the Rawmarsh area at 12.30pm yesterday, to reports of a man carrying an axe and behaving in a manner that caused concern.
"On arrival at the scene, officers recovered an axe and enquiries are ongoing to identify and trace the suspect," said a police spokeswoman.
"Nobody was injured in the incident."
