Police believe overnight ram-raids are linked

TWO ram-raids which happened within the space of 20 minutes are believed to be linked, police say.

Premises in Edlington and Thrybergh were targeted in the early hours of Wednesday (25) morning.

A car was driven into the front of a business premises in Edlington Lane, Edlington, at around 12.50am, causing damage, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.

Two men are reported to have entered the premises and caused damage, before fleeing the scene in a car, she said.

Twenty minutes later at 1.10am, a shop in Park Lane, Thrybergh, was ram-raided.

Nothing was taken during the incidents and a silver Ford Focus believed to have been used in the raids was later found burned out in Thrybergh, she added.
