A PONY had to be put down after being attacked by dogs in its paddock at Conisbrough.

When they checked on the pony the following morning, they found it had deep wounds to its rear legs and neck.

A police spokesperson said: “Sadly, the pony had to be put-down as a result of its injuries. Due to the poor quality of the CCTV footage, identification of any offenders has not been possible.

“If you have any information which could help the investigation, please call 101 quoting incident 263 of December 11.”
