Police appeal after Mexborough attempted robbery
POLICE have appealed for help finding an attempted robbery suspect who punched a woman in the stomach.
It happened as he tried to steal the 49-year-old’s handbag in an alleyway on Harlington Road, Mexborough, close to a daycare centre.
Pc Fahd Nasser said: “Fortunately the woman was not seriously injured but has been quite shaken by the incident.

Hide Ad“If anyone believes they know the identity if the man, I would urge them to contact the police.”
The suspect is described as 5ft 8ins tall, slim and aged about 30.
