Police appeal after gunshots fired in Greasbrough

DETECTIVES in Rotherham are appealing for information after gunshots were fired at a house in Greasbrough.

Officers were called to an address on Wilcox Green at 6.30pm on last Sunday (August 4) after reports of shots being fired from a car, causing damage to a window.

"The vehicle in question, believed to be an Audi convertible, then left the scene driving towards Fenton Road," said a spokewoman from South Yorkshire Police.

"Nobody was injured and the address was empty at the time of the incident."

A 31-year-old man has been questioned by officers, but has since been released under investigation. 

Officers are now wanting to speak to anyone who may hold information about the incident or about the Audi convertible which remains outstanding.
