Police appeal after burglary at pub in the Dearne Valley

POLICE officers are appealing for information after a reported burglary at a pub in Adwick upon Dearne last week.

It is believed two unknown offenders - who were captured on CCTV - broke in to The Manvers Arms pub on Harlington Road at around 3am last Thursday (December 5). 

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said the break-in had happened at about 3am after the thieves removed a glass pane and frame from a side window,

"The offenders are said to have taken £200 cash from the till, plus further money from tip jars," added the spokeswoman. "Two charity boxes are also alleged to have been stolen."
