Decent in everything he had to do, although the Owls rarely tested him.

Strong in defence, quick to get forward, a powerful presence. I'm saying the same thing every week about him. Excellent signing.

Made an error early on that almost let on the Owls but was accomplished for the rest of the match.

Mr Steady, Mr Solid, Mr Clear Your Lines and Give Them Nothing.

No frills, no mistakes. A defender who looks comfortable in the Championship.

Dan Barlaser: 6

Some moments of real class but, uncharacteristically, gave the ball away a few times with his passing. Quality penalty.

Jamie Lindsay: 9

Two goals and a place in Millers folklore. It wasn't just the goals. Gets a foot in, rattles opponents, always somewhere near the ball. A perfectly-timed tackle in his own penalty area was one of the highlights of the second half. I've seen comparisons on social medial to Lee Frecklington at his best. Justified. No higher compliment.

Florian Jozefzoon: 6

Sparked now and again. Quick and can beat a man. Could be some player once his fitness levels are where the Millers want them to be.

Ben Wiles: 7

Given a run-out in his favoured central-midfield role and didn't disappoint. Gave the ball away at times but he backs himself and can make things happen. Good energy, as always.

Mickel Miller: 8

I knew he was quick but I didn't realise just how quick. The Owls' defence couldn't cope with him and he made big inroads with his driving runs.

Freddie Ladapo: 6

Helped to set up the opener with a shot on the turn that deflected the way of Lindsay. Troubled Wedneday at times with his sharpness.

He and George Hirst looked dangerous together as a front two. Denied a much-needed goal only by a good save.

Looked up for it against his old club and another who came close to scoring. Mobile, clever.

“Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong in the first half. In the last two games what we’ve seen is those mistakes creep back into our game, and they’re costly mistakes.

Then we’ve got an uphill battle. Down to 10 men, the lads have a good go at it, but it was too little too late.

“It’s been more self-infliction than what the opposition have been doing. Those mistakes have crept back into our game for whatever reason, which is very difficult to understand.

“It’s hard to put your finger on the reason why because the preparation has been good. They work hard, they’re good lads. But there’s obviously a fragility there in terms of when something goes against you.

"You then need to stick in the game instead of compounding a mistake with other mistakes."
