PICTURES: Life's a beach in Rotherham

ROTHERHAM town centre has been transformed into a beach to the delight of crowds of happy children.

Rotherham-by-the-Sea returned to All Saints' Square for its eighth year and brought with it waves of delighted children and their parents.

Last year, the event drew in hundreds of people from around the town to enjoy the seaside experience, which included fun and activities for the whole family.

This year’s event, which runs until Saturday from 10.30am to 4.30pm, includes a range of activities,  with a funfair, face-painting, bingo, and a knobbly-knees competition.
