A “WICKED” sexual predator who repeatedly raped a woman at knifepoint in her own home in a “sustained and degrading” attack has been jailed for 19 years.

Mohammed Naseer (30) subjected his “exceptionally vulnerable” victim to a violent ordeal for more than two hours while threatening her with a knife he had grabbed from her own kitchen.

Judge Jeremy Richardson ruled that Naseer, who admitted six counts of rape and one of assault by penetration, must serve at least 19 years in prison and spend a further eight years on licence.

He told Sheffield Crown Court yesterday that it was clear Naseer, of Remount Road, Kimberworth Park, was a dangerous offender from whom the public must be protected.

The judge said the brutal rapist had avoided a life sentence “by a very narrow margin”.

The court heard Naseer, who was known to his victim, had repeatedly raped the woman early one morning in September 2020 and forced her to perform sex acts.

He had caused severe internal injuries and bitten her, and she described how there was "blood everywhere".

A nurse who later examined the victim said her injuries were among the worst she had ever seen.

Naseer later claimed his victim had made sexual advances towards him, which the judge dismissed as “an entirely false and bogus account”.

The rapist is currently in a hospital which treats patients with mental health issues and psychological reports concluded that he had schizophrenia.

But the judge said he was satisfied this was “not causative of this criminality” and the court was told Naseer could be suitable for transfer to prison “within months”.

Judge Richardson said: “This is one of the worst cases that I have come across for a long time.

“You will serve a custodial sentence of 19 years and an extended period on licence of eight years.

“That is the sentence to punish you for your truly wicked criminality.”

The judge imposed a lifelong restraining order on Naseer and ordered him  to sign on the sex offenders’ register for life.
