THIS was the scene as smoke billowed from the roof of a flat on Wombwell High Street on Saturday.
Around 25 firefighters fought the blaze at the flat, above Rose Jewellers, from 4.45pm, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
The door to the shop has since been boarded up and the business (pictured, below) was closed yesterday.

Crews from Dearne, Barnsley, Cudworth and Central stations dealt with the fire until 10.10pm, the spokesperson said.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and no-one was injured in the incident, added the spokesperson.
