PICTURES show the aftermath of fire damage in Dinnington after the area was hit by a wave of fire.

A major incident was declared in South Yorkshire last week as emergency services dealt with numerous fires in the region. 

Temperatures soared to 40 deg C with fires set alight in fields and spreading to people's homes.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were reportedly tackling seven fires in the area on July 19.

One photographer visited the site of a fire on Oldcotes Road, Dinnington, which shows the extent of damage caused by the fires.
