PRIZED pooches and perfect produce were put in the spotlight at a popular village show.
More than 600 people attended Thorpe Hesley and Scholes Village Show at Holy Trinity Church on Saturday, which featured a dog show, plenty of giant vegetables, creative crafts and displays of delightful dahlias.
There was also a preview by members of Wentworth and Thorpe Hesley Youth Theatre of their forthcoming time travel show Dance.net, which they will perform at the church on November 21 and 22, and performances from The Jill Hyde Leigh School of Dance and Fit24Camp.
Some produce was donated for the Holy Trinity harvest celebrations, which will be passed on to homelessness charity Shiloh.
