Phone box work on hold but will take place

A RED phone box which had 15 minutes of fame during the 2007 floods has been granted some extra time.

The BT booth, outside the former Plough pub in Catcliffe, has been out of action for months.

It became a landmark after being widely pictured when it was almost completely submerged during the downpours ten years ago.

“I have gained assurance from BT that the phone box will attended to as soon as possible,” said ward member Cllr Nigel Simpson.

“I am sure the people of Catcliffe and parish councillors will be happy that finally action has been taken.”
