Pets back Labour

PETS in rosettes are rearing their heads online to highlight Labour’s animal welfare pledges.

The political pooches appear on campaign Facebook page Dogs for Labour, created council candidate Eve Rose.

Cllr Emma Hoddinott said: “A number of candidates have been getting their dogs involved in the campaign, including making appearances on their owner’s campaign literature.”

The party’s pledges include new measures to deal with irresponsible and cruel breeding practices among cats and dogs.
