Pensioner taken to hospital after Moorgate crash this morning

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being involved in a two-car collision in Moorgate this morning (Tuesday).

A white Skoda Octavia and a grey Hyundai crashed at the junction of Alma Road and Moorgate Road at 5.44am, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

"A 67-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance for what is thought to be minor injuries," said the spokeswoman.

"The road was blocked for a short while."
