Pedestrian killed in Sandy Lane, Bramley

A 26-year-old man was killed after a 17-year-old motorist collided with two pedestrians in the early hours of the morning.

A 30-year-old man was also seriously injured in the incident which happened on Sandy Lane, Bramley, yesterday morning (31).

Issuing an appeal for witnesses to come forward, a police spokeswoman said: “A Ford Fiesta, driven by a 17-year-old from Sheffield, was travelling in the direction of Cumwell Lane when it was in collision with two men, aged 26 and 30.

“The 26-year-old, from Rotherham, sustained fatal injuries, the 30-year-old man, also from Rotherham, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident 23 of October 31.
