Pedestrian hit by van near Goldthorpe

A PEDESTRIAN has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision on the Dearne Valley Parkway today.

Just before 1.10am, a white Daf articulated LGV was driving along the A635 Dearne Valley Parkway from Goldthorpe towards Doncaster when it collided with a pedestrian close to the Hollygrove Roundabout. 

The 35-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital. 

The driver of the LGV was not injured. 

Police want to speak to anyone who saw either the pedestrian or the LGV prior to the collision. 

Anyone who has information should call 101 quoting incident number 37 of December 11.
