Pathologist jailed over 'thousands' of indecent images of kids

A PERVERTED pathologist has been jailed for six months for having more than 11,000 indecent images of children.

Consultant histopathologist Terry Marshall (66) had been a respected figure for years in South Yorkshire, regularly giving evidence at inquests.

But his reputation and his career now lie in tatters after he saved thousands of pornographic images of girls as young as five on his computers.

Sheffield Crown Court heard on Friday that 11 of the images on a CD were next to the most serious level and showed girls between five and 11 engaged in sexual activity with adult males.

Jailing Marshall, Judge Roger Keen told him: “The public are entitled to know people who look at and keep these sort of images are appropriately punished.”

Marshall admitted one offence of making indecent images of a child and three of making indecent photos of a child.
