Henry Ohakah has been appointed as new senior minister at Mexborough Life Church and Centre and will formally meet parishioners at a welcome service on September 4, although he started work this week.

Church member Andrew Copley said: “Henry brings a wealth of practical experience from distant places like Nigeria and Sheffield!

“We welcome him, Anita and their three children, Somtochi, Chimdumebi and Henry Jnr, to the fellowship in Mexborough.

“We believe Henry is God’s man to led MLCC in the next period of its history.”

Andrew thanked church members “for your faithfulness and patience, as we have worked through this time of pandemic and bureaucracy to allow Henry’s appointment”.

Andrew said Mr Ohakah has a background in accounting and finance and was activist of equality, diversity, inclusion and social justice.

In his spare time, he enjoys football, writing, walking, nature-watching, adventuring and jumping around with my children.

Those wishing to attend the welcome service should contact Andrew… to book their place.
