Passenger injured by bottle thrown on train to Rotherham

A PASSENGER was treated in hospital after being hit in the head with a bottle thrown on a train between Sheffield and Rotherham.

British Transport Police said he suffered a nasty cut on the Northern service at 11.40pm on September 24.

A 25-year-old man from Doncaster has been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of GBH.

BTP has asked for witnesses who were on the train to get in touch. Text 61016 or call 0800 405040, quoting reference 1900082664.
