Parking at Rotherham Hospital

Parking at Rotherham Hospital

Sir, As a regular visitor to Rotherham Hospital, with my little girl, we were again visiting on Thursday morning (April 22),our appointment was 9.45am.

Arriving at the hospital at 9.20am, I was absolutely disgusted to find that there was not one car parking space in the whole two car parks(long and short stay) at that time of the day!

I noted that there were staff members' cars parked in both long and short stay car parks, why is this?

Im sure that they have their own car parks further up the hospital grounds and don't need to monopolise patients and visitors' car parks too!

In the end i had to drive out of the car park and go and park outside Oakwood School on the main road and had to get my baby daughter out of the car on the roadside with all the cars and lorries thundering past us very closely.

Rotherham Hospital has been very good to my family in the past few years and unfortunatley, I have to spend a lot of time there with appointments.

The car parking situation needs addressing and very urgently.
