Pair in court over series of burglaries
TWO men will appear before magistrates today following a series of burglaries.
Levi Deakin (22), of Pearson Crescent in Wombwell, has been charged with four counts of burglary, as well as handling stolen goods; driving dangerously and without insurance; acquisition, use or possession of criminal property; and escape from lawful custody.

Hide AdThe charges relate to four burglaries in the Barnsley area between January 4 and 8, where expensive vehicles were taken.
Josh Cooke (24), of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary after a property was targeted on Friday.
Both men were remanded in police custody to appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court today.
Officers are still searching for a blue VW Tiguan R 4Motion — registration YT21ORN — that was stolen on Friday.
A spokesperson said: “This may now bear false plates, but is possible to have been parked unattended for a few days.”
