Pair charged with attempted murder after shotgun incidents

TWO men have been charged with attempted murder after three people were injured following shotgun attacks in Sheffield.

Bradley Jenkins (27), of Waverley View at Catcliffe, and Kai Smith (18), of Villiers Close in Sheffield were due before magistrates yesterday, each facing two counts.

Shots were fired at three people —  a 42-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman — who were stood outside a property on the Manor on January 6.

The 23-year-old man is believed to have fled on foot to nearby Prince of Wales Road.

Police received reports of a second shooting at this location minutes later.

The man, who suffered shotgun injuries to his arms and hand, is believed to have been targeted.

He and the 42-year-old woman received hospital treatment. The 28-year-old suffered minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries into the incidents continue and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 790 of January 6. 

"Dash-cam or CCTV footage can be emailed to [email protected]."
