Opportunity to have your valuables marked with traceable liquid
RESIDENTS in Edlington and Mexborough can get their valuables marked with a traceable liquid for free this week to help deter thieves.
The Doncaster West Neighbourhood Police Team is offering householders the opportunity to have their property marked with SmartWater. The liquid only shows up under UV light and can help police identify stolen items, if they are recovered.
It also acts as a potential deterrent if thieves know property is marked.

Hide AdThe service is free and takes around 30 minutes, depending on how many items there are to mark.
Police officers are also offering advice on how to keep property safe and how to sign up to SYP Alerts.
