One person trapped after Wath car crash

The crash involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and grey Hyundai happened around 7.10am this morning (Thursday) near the Cross Keys pub and has left one person trapped in the vehicle.

Two fire crews from Rotherham and Dearne station are currently at the scene working to free the motorist, said a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "The driver of the Corsa is thought to have sustained injuries in the collision.

"Old Doncaster Road between the junctions of Avenue Road and Sandymount Road are currently closed."
