Off-duty PCSO spots two-car collision in Rawmarsh

AN OFF-duty PCSO came across a two-car collision in Rawmarsh this morning in which one man was injured.

Officers received a call at 9am this morning about reports of a collision involving two cars on Haugh Road. 

It was reported that a white Ford Kuga collided with a black Renault Trafic SL27, said a police spokeswoman.

"The driver of the Ford, a 45-year-old man was trapped inside the car," she added.

"South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital by ambulance - his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The driver of the Renault, a 49-year-old man, was uninjured."

The spokeswoman said the road had been closed for a short time while emergency services carried out their work but had reopened.
