OAP left seriously injured after early-hours raid in Wales by masked intruders

AN 86-year-old was left seriously injured by robbers who raided his home in the early hours.

Detectives are appealing for information after the burglary in Manor Road, Wales.

Police said the OAP had been in bed at 3am on July 21 when he had heard noises downstairs.

“He went to investigate the noise but found three unknown suspects had forced entry by breaking the door lock,” said a spokesperson.

“The pensioner was claimed to have been assaulted by one of the intruders and left with injuries to his head, chest, leg and eye.

“The suspects are believed to have searched the property and taken Rolex watches.”

Police said enquiries into the robbery had revealed that four suspects arrived at the property on Manor Road in a blue Audi SQ5, which was alleged to have been stolen in an earlier burglary in the Bramley area.

A black Porsche Cayman was also taken from the same property and a blue Vauxhall Corsa is thought to be linked to the theft of those motor vehicles.

The suspects are described as being “males, in their late teens to early 20s, and they were reportedly wearing dark clothing and masks”.
