Nursery workers reunited for 50th anniversary celebration

CHILDCARE workers from through the decades were reunited at a nursery’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Northgate Pre-School and Toddler group held a party for parents, children and current and former staff members at its base at Northgate Methodist Church, Tickhill, on June 23.

Manager Rachel Gill said the party had been a huge success.

“We had a bouncy castle, inflatable track, hook-a-duck, face-painting, name the teddy — everything was going on,” said Rachel.

    The anniversary celebrations will continue at Tickhill Gala on Saturday (July 7).

    “We have decorated a float in gold — all the children and parents have been getting involved,” said Rachel.

    The procession leaves Wong Lane at 12.30pm.
