And Trisha is urging people to donate everything from household items to clothes, bric-a-brac and toys.

She said: “I’ve had quite a few businesses before and it is something I have always wanted to do.

“I’ve got a passion for children and teenagers and I have seen them in the streets and they have nothing to do.”

Grandmother-of-nine Trisha said all the profits from the charity shop would be put into funding youth clubs “or somewhere where children can go to keep them off the streets”.

Trish, who has previously managed a furniture and a second-hand shop added: “I just thought to myself; ‘I need to do something to support the children of Rotherham’.

“There used to be youth clubs and community centres — this is where it starts because if they have places to go they will have proper people to teach them the right way about things.”

The profits will also be used to help combat isolation among elderly people in Rotherham by supporting meet-ups for lonely older people.

Trish added: “We’re doing all the groundwork, we’re setting ourselves up on Facebook and we’re trying to get as much help as possible because at first I will be self-funding it all.”
