New team leads Rotherham's Salvation Army

A HUSBAND and wife team are looking forward to their time in charge of the Rotherham district of the Salvation Army after being appointed to the borough’s top “Sally” job.

Majors Ernie and June Huby are the new commanding officers of the corps of the Salvation Army in Rotherham, taking over from Captains Vaughan and Julie Bovan, who have now taken charge of the Barnsley branch.

Ernie and June moved to the borough from similar roles in Huddersfield, where they were based for 14 years.
