A TEMPORARY health hub which was set up to treat and advise patients with suspected or confirmed cases of Covid-19 will move to a new home on Monday (15).

The GP practice service being provided at the Rotherham Community Health Centre on Greasbrough Road will move to the Whiston branch of Brinsworth and Whiston Medical Centre.

Dr Richard Cullen, GP and chair of NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Patients should continue to contact their own GP practice for advice and treatment, either by telephone or the Rotherham Health App.

“Only patients who have been referred into the service by their own GP practice are able to attend.

“The new location has suitable access, space and facilities to allow us to provide appropriate support for patients who have a member of their household (including the patient) with suspected or confirmed Covid-19 and require advice and treatment for other health conditions.

“The move will allow for the Rotherham Community Health Centre to be thoroughly cleaned and for services previously provided from the centre to start to move back in.

“Patients of Brinsworth and Whiston Medical Centre will continue to receive services from the Brinsworth branch.”
