New dementia café opens at Rotherham Hospital next week

Natasha Hinton, frailty lead nurse, said the aim was to run the café monthly in a bid to become accredited as dementia-friendly by the National Dementia Alliance. 

“We are working hard to raise more awareness for dementia and the café is being run with support from the mental health liaison team and The Alzheimer’s Society,” Natasha added.

“Come along and have a cuppa with someone who understands — and our highly skilled staff can give you information and help signpost you to other available support services.”

The first dementia session will be held at the rooftop restaurant at Rotherham Hospital nexr Wednesday, July 17, from 1.30pm until 3.30pm.
