New blood pressure machine in Wickersley thanks to Lions

MEMBERS of a Lions club have donated a grand amount to help a health centre buy a blood pressure machine.

Bramley and Wickersley Lions Club has handed over £1,000 to Wickersley Health Centre on Poplar Glade.

The cash will be used to purchase a 24-hour blood pressure machine which allows patients to be assessed at home.

Brian Yeoman, of the Lions club, said: “The health centre has over 7,000 persons on their books, so this second machine means they are now able to offer a far better service to everyone.”
