NCA trial: Jury find man guilty on two counts

A 42-YEAR-OLD man has been found guilty of actual bodily harm and making a threat to kill following a trial.

Tony Chapman, of Lindley Street, Eastwood, has been on trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

He denied both charges and three separate charges of rape against two female complainants.

The jury has not reached a verdict on the three rape charges and is due to return to court tomorrow to continue its deliberations.

Both women were teenagers at the time of the alleged offences — Chapman was around 20 years older.

Chapman has bailed to appear at Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow.
