MAZDA are trimming weight in the pursuit of performance with their new MX-5 Superlight.
Making its debut at September's Frankfurt Motor Show (15 to 27), the Superlight sees the world's best selling two-seater sports car, has been on a diet with the knock-on effects being improved efficiency and performance.
Although details of the car are being kept under wraps, the Superlight was designed at Mazda's studio in Oberursel, Germany, and is a pure show car, combining a radical exterior design—with no windscreen—and sporty chassis settings to create what Mazda describe as a "pure roadster."
