Music in the air at Woodlaithes pub fun day

MUSIC from the likes of the The Stormtrees, Kerry M and The Vernon Sisters will be among the attractions this weekend as a popular family fun day is held for the third time.

The annual fund-raiser in memory of the late am-dram stalwart Stuart Lister will be held at the Woodman Pub in Woodlaithes Village next Sunday (30).

Stalls, auctions, raffles, a BBQ and hog roast — plus live music from noon onwards — aim to keep the grown-ups entertained, and there will be a bouncy disco dome, bouncy assault course and a mega jungle trailer for younger children to enjoy.

The charity founded in Stuart’s memory — Start-a-Heart 24/7 — aims to provide heart-starting defibrillators in public places around the borough, and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service will be demonstrating the equipment on the day.
