Murder date trial set for August

 

TWO men charged with attempted murder after three people were injured in shotgun attacks in Sheffield will go on trial in August.

Bradley Jenkins (27), of Waverley View at Catcliffe, and Kai Smith (18), of Villiers Close in Sheffield each face two counts in relation to an incident on January 6.

Smith and Jenkins appeared before Sheffield Crown Court on January 15 and were remanded in custody.

Their case will be back in court on March 8 and are due to stand trial from August 23 onwards.

Police said shots had fired at three people — a 42-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman — outside a property on the Manor on January 6.

There were reports of a second shooting at this location minutes later.

The man suffered shotgun injuries to his arms and hand while the 42-year-old woman also received hospital treatment.
