MP steps up war on sex trafficking
The MP wants posters in motorway service station highlighting the law on the sex slave trade.
He says that adverts should make clear to men they are committing a crime if they pay for sex with a women who has been trafficked or coerced into working in a massage parlour or lap dancing club.

Hide AdThe MP also said that men caught using a massage parlour or women controlled by a pimp should be shamed and named.
Dr MacShane piloted the signing and ratification of the Council of Europe convention on trafficking through the Commons.
He was also one of the leaders of the successful bid last year to change the law to make it a crime to pay for sex with any women who had been trafficked or coerced into working in the growing number of sex industry establishment.
He said that the trafficking of sex slaves would continue until demand was curbed.

Hide AdThe former Europe Minister will urge the Council of Europe next week in Strasbourg to lead a European-wide campaign to adopt British and Swedish laws which now put the responsibility on men, rather than women, in efforts to reduce the exploitation of prostituted women trafficked or coerced into offering their bodies for sale to men.
