Motorist's praise for snow storm hero

A MOTORIST has praised a good Samaritan who helped others through treacherous snowy conditions after a road turned into an “ice rink”.

Sue Thompson said the young man, named only as Liam, had stepped in to push struggling cars up the hill of Station Street in Swinton in freezing temperatures on Saturday evening.

Rotherham was battered by snow storms as the Mini-Beast from the East struck.

“Without the aid of this wonderful, selfless person I may not have made it to my parents’ house,” said a grateful Sue, of Rawmarsh.

“I cannot thank him enough.

“No doubt there are other drivers wanting to pass on their thanks, too, as I personally witnessed him help 4 other drivers in front of me.”
