A MOTORBIKE rider killed in a crash at the weekend has been named as Peter Heard.

The 65-year-old, of Rotherham, collided with a silver Vauxhall Zafira on Worrygoose Lane in Whiston on Saturday.

He was taken to Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Police have urged another motorcyclist, who may have seen the 12.50pm crash, to come forward.

Anyone with useful information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 553 of February 18.
