Motorbike destroyed in Wombwell arson attack

A MOTORBIKE was destroyed in an arson attack in Wombwell last night (Thursday).

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to the deliberate fire on Lund Hill Road at 8.30pm and left the scene at 8.40pm, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

A fire on a grass verge on Chapel Lane, Thurnscoe, at 1.20am today (Friday) was accidental, added the spokeswoman.

Firefighters from Dearne station spent 25 minutes at the scene.
