This week bus passengers were reassured that Stagecoach would operate a "substantial daytime bus network" on all three days. The majority of Stagecoach services will operate as usual, between 7am and 6pm, including all school services.

Stagecoach buses operated by Stagecoach East Midlands in south Rotherham will run as normal.

Paul Lynch, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire said: "It is very unfortunate that we have not been able to reach an agreement after many months of negotiation.

"We will be working extremely hard to ensure that the majority of passengers are not affected by the strike action."
