More arson attacks across Rotherham borough

TWO more deliberate fires overnight have added to the toll of arson attacks this week across the Rotherham borough.

Rubbish was set ablaze on Hartington Road in Holmes and a Rotherham fire crew was called out at 9.05pm last night.

It took firefighters around 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

A van was targeted on Alma Street in Wombwell prompting a callout for Dearne firefighters at 12.05am this morning. They spent 50 minutes at the scene.

Both blazes were started deliberately, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
