Mini-crime wave as neighbouring villages are hit by car thieves

POLICE recorded three car crimes in 24 hours in Aston, Aughton and Swallownest.

All were committed between 10am on Tuesday and 10am on Wednesday, according to the Rotherham South Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Officers reported theft from vehicles on Hall Road in Aughton and Lodge Lane in Aston, through the new SYP Alerts system.

They also reported damage to a motor vehicle on Mason Avenue in Swallownest.
