Millers stars meet students at business skills event

THREE Rotherham United stars rubbed shoulders with 1,000 representatives of businesses and students at a showcase event.

Grant Ward, Aidy White and Paul Green all attended the Local Employment and Advisory Forum (LEAF) event at Magna last Monday, where 71 exhibitors spoke to school and college students about skills, qualifications and the way into their chosen career.

The Millers trio presented Judges’ Commendations and £50 cheques to the runners-up of the Rotherham Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2015:

Adam Tinsley of  F1 Showcars, Alexandra Hans of The Cornerspace, Alicia Favell of Favell Recruitment, Cade Darwin of Simple Office Solutions, Lewis Houghton of Lewbot Art and Jack Norman from Pie Eyed.

Jamie Noble, head of Rotherham United Community sports Trust, said: “LEAF is a fantastic event which gives local businesses and entrepreneurs a change to showcase their fantastic work.

“The players thoroughly enjoyed attending the event, viewing all the fantastic stalls and interacting with the community who show support for the players every game at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.”
