ROTHERHAM United have signed their second player of the summer - Luke Ashworth, on an initial one-year deal from Leyton Orient.
Ashworth is a former winner of Wigan Athletic’s Young Player of the Season award before moving to Orient in January 2009.
He failed to settle in London, and after only sporadic appearances for the first team has jumped at the chance to move back north.
“I am delighted to be here, and want to thank the manager for giving me a chance to move back closer to home,” said Ashworth.
“I am looking forward to meeting up with the lads for pre-season training and optimistic about the season ahead.”
