Millers fans hit by shirt shortage

THE Millers have had to plunder their own team kit-bag to satisfy Christmas demand for replica shirts after a problem with supplies from manufacturer, Puma

The club’s Red & White Shop on Barbot Hall Industrial Estate ran out of the most popular sizes last month, with buyers being turned away at one of the shops busiest periods.

All that were left were small and XXL sizes.

Millers chief operating officer Paul Douglas said: The last thing we want to do is disappoint the fans.

“It’s right that we delved into the team’s kit bag to satisfy demand.

“We’re not going to be signing any new players before Christmas—the transfer window is now closed—so we’ve had extra shirts that we’ve been able to dip into for fans.

He added: “We’re not looking at a situation where we wouldn’t have any kit for players on match days.”
